Act 1 Summary: Murellus and Flavius are not overjoyed like the rest of Rome that Caesar is taking over and insist that the people should be praying against whatever is coming. Cassius is talking Brutus about how weak Caesar is and how he is not fit to rule. He states his opinion that someone like Brutus should be ruling them, not Caesar. Cassius speaking freely to Casca accidentally tells him how he doesn’t like Caesar, but is surprised when Casca is also against him. Cassius invites Casca to join him and other noble men on a mission and they leave together to go to a meeting. Comprehension Questions 1) Why was the crowd shouting?
