Can Airlines Solve Their Baggage Handling Problems?Mahamedullah Payenda 5005687791.The baggage handling systems manage many transactions, some of these include moving the bags from the check-in area to the departure gate, move the bags from gate to gate and also moving the bags from the arrival gate to the baggage claim area. The major transaction that is required from these baggage handling systems, is to successfully transport the bags from the check-in area to the baggage claim area.2.The management component of the baggage handling system consists of people who must tag the bags at the check in area. The tag that is given to each bag has a bar code that the computers in the baggage handling system can read. The tags also contain important flight information. When the bar code within the tag is scanned, the computers determine where to send the bags. The organizational component of the baggage handling system includes customer satisfaction and reliability on an airline
