Krissiha Lagos Bishop Coms 1301-004 Listening Reflection Paper Having poor listening skills affects everyone on a day to day basis. In the workplace, poor listening skills, causes a lot of misinterpretation between coworkers, and it can cause organizational mix-ups. Because of it, you can miss important appointments, misinterpret directions, and also address the wrong problems. In an interview situation, poor listening skills can take away one’s chances of getting a job. Managers believe that being a good listener is a crucial skill to have and they will also use feedback to determine how well a person listens. Answering questions incorrectly, or misunderstanding the point in a manager’s statement or question will only guarantee one not getting the job. As for myself, I’ve always felt like I am a poor listener, in The Listening Quiz, I gave myself a rating of 74. This means that I have extremely poor listening skills. As for the person
