Tommy Ellis Dr. Connolly COB 204 February 10 th , 2018 Weekly Learning Journal Chapters 1-4 January 8 th This was the first day of class and we went over the syllabus and what the class is about. In class we learned about abstract reasoning, system thinking, collaborating, and the ability to experiment, which are the four cognitive skills. January 10 th We learned about the different laws that all of technology is bound by. These laws include Bell, Kryder, Moore, Nelson, and Metcalfe. We applied these laws to everyday life with examples of how they occur now. January 17 th We learned about Porter’s definition for a group’s success. The three criteria on whether or not a group was accomplished in their endeavor are Mission Accomplished, Learned Something, and made to feel useful. January 22 nd We talked about cooperation vs collaboration and how collaboration is harder to achieve. We talked about the SDLC which is also referred to as the software development life cycle and how it is used everyday. January 24 th We learned about several models about technology designed and conceived by Porter. The most famous
