“My Mother Never Worked” By Bonnie Smith-Yackel When I first read it I was like “BRUH”, at the end of the dialogue. I was like really? Does that happened, her mother worked the farm, making homemade accessories, and on physical therapy. Well she was a farmer and nothing could taken care of her mini farm as she was to work. However, there is one mention in the beginning of Bonnie’s paragraph where her mother regrets marry to a sailor or solider. At the beginning, her mom was a manager at the general store as full- time and a high school student. Now her dad made her to marry him she wrote the thought that she can see herself miserable having dozens of kids to take care and that came true for her. As she can’t look for a job since she is reproducing with her man as they are owning a farm or whatever and one time she miss eating the hamburger for once. This is sets in the 1900s as there were rules for women to followed and it was the first wave of feminism. At the end since her mother dies and needs to set a full payment of her
