Integumentary, Muscular, Skeletal, Nervous, Circulatory, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Endocrine, Urinary, Reproductive, Digestive. · What are the major organs of each system? · How are the organ systems related to the properties of living organisms? Digestion Key Terms: 5. Amylase: an emzyne that helps break down carbs. Pepsin Key Concepts: · What are the organs of the digestive system? Which organs does food pass through? 6. What are the four stages of food processing? Where do they happen? Ingestion, digestion, absorption, elimination. Digestive system. 7. What is the difference between mechanical and chemical digestion? Mechanical- using teeth and tongue, chemical- after swallowing. 8. Where are carbohydrates, protein, and lipids broken down? Small intestine.
