STUDY OF RETAINING EMPLOYEES 3 The Study of Retaining Employees Introduction A lot of companies all over the world face the trouble of retaining good, hard working employees. Due to this, companies waste a lot of time, money, and resources on training employees that could be used instead on retaining them. Employees leave for a variety of well- known reasons such as pay, supervisor issues, hours, or benefits. The goal of this study is to show that there are legitimate ways to keep employees happy and increase their longevity with in their respective companies. Positive rewards are tangible and intangible things employers can give their employees to show their appreciation. It will not be just raises or better benefits but also positive work environments, family friendly hours or culture can be as well. The thought is, if there is a way to find out what makes employees stay with companies for 20-30 years than other companies can use this information to help with their own retainment issues. Research Question / Hypothesis Question : How can integrating positive rewards for hard working employees increase their retainment?
