ASSIGNMENT 2: OPERATIONS DECISION2 Question one In the production of low-calorie frozen microwavable foods there exists two main companies that is Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice. In this piece of work we are going to discuss one of the main competitor to these companies. First, we will provide an outline of the strategy that can be used in assessing the market structure effectiveness for the operations of the company. Secondly, we will examine major long run and short run cost functions for the above company when you are given some cost functions. In this type of analysis we will suggest fundamental methods that the corporation can use in making the decision on long run and short run. As I come up with these plans I will also give primary actions that can be taken by the management to solve the circumstances that can lead to its termination. In our case the products are required to close to each other and not the perfect substitute to a given product. In low-calorie microwavable food industry there exists close product substitutes since it depends on the choice and the desire of the food that the consumer wants to eat. The other step that can be taken by the company is to look for an easy way that the company can use in order to enter into the market. If there exists obvious barriers
