1. Purpose of Experiment We want to determine the Static Pressure (𝑝 ? ) and Total Pressure (𝑝 ? ) distributions along the axis of a convergent-divergent channel by using Pitot-Static Tube. 2. Experimental Setup In this experiment, we used a convergent-divergent channel (100𝑚𝑚 × 50𝑚𝑚) , Pitot-Static Tube and multi tube manometer with mbar scale. Also our experimental setup is shown below Pitot Tube: The Pitot Static Tube measures local velocity by measuring the pressure difference in conjuction with the Bernoulli equation. It consist of slender double tube aligned with the flow and connected to a differential pressure meter. The inner tube is fully open to flow at the nose and thus it measures the stagnation pressure at that location. The outer tube is sealed at the nose but it has holes on the side of outer wall and thus it measures the static pressure.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
