1 Cristine Rainey Information Technology Architectures (IT401-1801B-02) Discussion Board 1 Pt 2 14 February 2018 Enterprise architecture holds its importance in unifying the Information Technology’s environment cutting across entities or all of the enterprise’s units. This is possible with tight symbiotic connections to the business side of an entity. More specifically, the aims here is promoting standardisation, alignment, reusing the current I.T assets and even sharing of the general criterions of project management. The functions of enterprise architecture are creating a map of the business I.T assets together with the businesses’’ process. Additionally, there is also governing principles under this architecture 0on the business strategy thus expressed in I.T.
