The music stopped and the curtains closed followed by a thunderous applause from the audience. Satisfaction of success filled my mind knowing that the hard work combined with the meticulous planning I had persevered with was worth the moment. I was a shy person who always featured at the background and was afraid of arousing other people’s attention. I was so much a reticent person that addressing people made me so nervous that my entire body would sweat and my heartbeat would raise tremendously. I tried to fight this predicament for a long time without success until I was introduced by an acquaintance to dancing. My friend was not a professional dancer but she kept trying. In fact she made it a point to always perform on stage during the New Year celebrations at her school. Her motivation, hard work and determination really intrigued me. It is her morale and coercion that prompted me to start dancing. I began learning with what she performed and sought tutorials from the internet to complement her teachings.
