Diaz 1 Idania Diaz Professor Cochran-Yzquierdo ENG 125 22 February 2017 The Birth Mark Questions 1. What difference would it make if the mark on Georgiana’s cheek were shaped like a fish, a heart, or an irregular oval? Why (and when) does the mark appear redder or more visible or faint? If the birthmark is explicitly a “symbol of imperfection” (par 9), what kinds of imperfection does it represent? If the mark on Georgiana were to be something other than the hand, it would change the essence of her true beauty. It was said that a fairy laid her hand on the cheek as a token. The mark gave Georgiana the power to attract men with looks. It was charm of good luck and did not repulse any one to be by her side because of the imaginary story behind it. Whenever Georgiana was calm with no rush of emotions the mark was noticeable on the left side. The taint of the mark was a deep red against her complexion. As she become upset or blush it will blend in with her cheek and then disappear.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
