financial turnover that branches in this location that I was in internship. Through my operations in the organization, I was able to gain significant experience. This significantly enhanced my understanding and skills in the field of business. The international contractor has a global presence and is currently gaining popularity as a result of the quality services it offers to its clients and the good strategy that have been instrumental in its good performance. The company was started 20 years ago by Mr. Othman Al Hassan, with an aim of being a dominant player in both national and international market in construction exceeds $2.6 Billion and currently focuses on offering effective professional consultancy services for environmental friendly construction engineering where it deploys designs, technological solutions and their implementation that fulfills the needs of the customer base and the surrounding market (Seeger, Sellnow & Ulmer, 2013). 2.0 Nature of the role within the organization My role within the organization was as a purchasing assistant in the financial department. My duties included evaluating purchase orders on daily basis and coming up with strategies to implement them while simultaneously offering optimal customer services through cost effective initiatives. Managing the purchase order communications with the clients and resolving issues that arise from purchases while at the same time coordinating with the department for accounts payable in order to accurately process invoices. Managing and distributing the reports for site conditions for the budgetary processes and administering requests for all vendors to ensure that they are in compliance with the guidelines for purchases and ensure that cost analysis for procedures involved is undertaken in an effective manner (Barnett, & Thayer, 2014) 3
