From audit lecture: Topics on the final: 1hr 17min mark NOT cumlative “Likely” no SQL injection Mostly on Auditing (most of final based on this) May have database applicattion security models First two models May have “8 Security Design Principles” or Statistial DB Security or Application Sec Models Will not need to write big blocks of code, but may be tested on understanding them (FGA examples) AUDITING LECTURE: “If you don’t look at the security tapes, then you don’t have security” This is why you need to audit procedures/policies to prevent attacks and ensure these policies are being implemented correctly Often takes long time before attacks are discovered (Months to years) Need auditing for evidence in court Need auditing for deterrence Misbehavior can be minimized if users know they’re being watching Auditing comes at a price though (discussed later) Auditing Laws (no longer optional...business need to be compliant) HIPPA-Healthcare privacy SOX-fraudulent accounting law PCI-Credit card GLBA- Financial All have specific auditing requirements for databases
