Introduction The purpose of this assignment is to developed the Bills of Quantities with rate for the Work Below Lowest Floor Finish (WBLFF), Frame, Upper Floor Finishes, External and Internal Wall, and External and Internal Finishes After deep consideration regarding the assignment topics, we have decided to choose a project located in Arau, Perlis whereby the project is the construction of major station Kedah line - Arau (S3) (N2) with the name of the project is PROJEK LANDASAN KERETAPI BERKEMBER ELEKTRIK DARI IPOH KE PADANG BESAR. The overall sum for infrastructure and structure works including the mechanical and electrical works are RM 15,747,641.67. The commencement date for the project was January 2008 and the completion date for the project is December 2013. The cost analysis done is based on the Bills of Quantities (BQ) in contract document. The design details for the project, quantity, unit, work description and rates are as stated in the BQ. In general, building construction estimating is the determination of probable construction costs of a given project. Many items will contribute to the cost of a project and each item must be analayzed, quantified, and priced. Before the actual construction begin, the estimator must
