“The Company”: Production is Key 2 To keep with the anonymity of my current place of business, I will be addressing the organization as The Company. The year is 2016 when being introduced to The Company based in Falls Church, Virginia. A corporation that is vastly engulfed in the interworking of the government. A fortune 500 company and a pillar in the military community. With physical representation in 6 continents and many countries, The Company (TC) is a steadily growing entity striving for excellence, inclusion, and integrity. In 2014, a proposal was presented to advance the company’s agenda for prosperity, inclusion, growth and providing a pleasant experience for the customer. Thus, the creation of a Service Center Operation department. The purpose of this department was to alleviate the workload and responsibility of the current Talent Acquisition representative. By opening the Service Center Operation (SCO), the company will be creating 120 more jobs for people in need all while allocating a profit increase of 17% by lowering the cost for production of a service. The SCO responsibility is to assist in the onboarding and recruiting aspect that (TC) will be needing. This includes, but not limited to, customer interaction, offer letters, drug and background screening, first day assignments, travel accommodation and relocation allocation. Initially, the return of the invested was slated for a 5- year timeframe. However, within 2 years a progressively increase have been assessed. On the surface, the SCO is a success however with any new department there is always a form of pushback. Upon my arrival to TC I was subjected to some organizational behavior and issues going on throughout my immediate sector. Organizational behavior is defined as a study of knowledge about how people act within organizations. (Newstrom, J.W., 2015 p. 4) The major issue that could be seen was the labor of service by the way of productivity and quality of work.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
