Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant: Motivating in Good Times and Bad 2 Abstract This basis behind this paper is to divulge the root causes of the organizational issues at Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant as well as to how it correlates to “ The Company” while providing suggestive resolutions to address these concerns. This case study objective is to examine the root causes of the organizational issues at Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant with the primary cause constituting to a lack of production; which correlate to the failing incentive structure as well as to environmental moral being a subject of discontent. By instituting a human behavior perspective, the bearing that these matters have within each organization will be examined and will conclude with some recommendations for strategic solutions to foster an environment of structural effectiveness. Production at each of these organization are the lifeline to what transpire throughout the entire structure of the businesses. Within each organization the problem with production leaves a realm of interpersonal and intrapersonal feelings that each company must work through to see a physical and financial change. By employing a sense of inclusion this will in turn make employees more compelled to be inquisitive in the interworking, will create a level of transparency, advance the workplace values, and alleviate any mistrust in management.

Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant: Motivating in Good Times and Bad 3 The year is 2007 when we are introduced to Engstrom Auto Mirror Plant based in Richmond, Indiana. A corporation that is facing internal and external impediments in their perspective industry. We are quickly made known to the considerable amount of organizational issues going on throughout the company. One is made aware of these issues by understanding organizational behavior as it relates to Engstrom. Organizational behavior is defined as a study of knowledge about how people act within organizations. (Newstrom, J.W.,2015 p. 4) The analytical study that will be comprised from focusing on how the inadequate production of the plant product effects the entire ethos of Engstrom and producing a solution in fostering a change. The significant organizational issues at Engstrom is the plant’s lack of production which can has a direct correlation to employee’s displeasure with management, lack of motivation and unsuccessful incentive plans For any entity to be or remain successful, the entity must first address any internal issue(s) that may be present. Regarding Engstrom, an important organization issue that needs immediate attention is the negative disposition of their employees towards orders of operation.
