It is different from standard of living, as it more concerned with people’s quality of life, which includes factors such as availability of important social services, quality of the environment, drug abuse extent, level of crime as well as spiritual and religious aspects of life. Some of the biggest advantages of social welfare is the fact that it embraces programs, laws and services that address the social needs of people, especially the ones that has been accepted as essential to the wellbeing of people. It mostly focuses on social and personal problems both potential and existing. One of the major disadvantage is its involvement in substantial budget outlays. When social insurance for example measure by budget outlays are very expensive like universal programs; presumably, they are estimated that they will be equally expensive when the coverage are as extensive. Yes, social Work as a profession is best suited to meet the needs of social welfare. This is mainly because the practice of social work mainly requires professionals who are well versant with wide range of developmental areas and human behavior. These includes good understanding of economic, cultural and social institutions; human behavior and development; and interactions
