The organization I chose for this discussion is Carnival Cruise Lines. Ted Arison founded and formed Carnival Cruise Lines in 1972 after leaving Norwegian Cruise Lines Today, the company pride's itself on a reputation of fun with its fleet of vessels being known as "the fun ships" and its goal to provide a fun family vacation at a great value (Carnival Corporation, N.D.). With a number of ethics and compliance policies in place, Carnival also prodes itself in enforcing morally and ethically sound policies to all its employees. I chose this organization because there is a current ongoing discussion in the travel and tourism industry regarding slavery of shipboard workers. As a former employee of the Carnival, I know that I and other employees who worked from home did not get any breaks during other than one thirty-minute lunch break during our shift, even if that shift was 10 or 12 hours (unless living in the state of Colorado where it was mandatory to give two 15 minute breaks during an 8 hour shift.
