Shayna Frances Page 1 H. Thayer English 12 SCALE period 6 11/02/17 The Creature In my experience, those who are different from everybody else are ostracized from the world around them. A person with a mental or physical disability of any kind is often an outsider. They’re often excluded from activities and picked on due to judgements passed by others considered “normal”. These people have the same aspirations in life as you and I. Society often looks upon those who are different as inferior to the rest of the world. Like people with disabilities in today’s society, the creature in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is shunned from society. The creature is deformed and considered monstrous in appearance. The creature wants only to find his place in the world, but is stopped at every turn because of his deformity. People run in fear of him, they attack him without cause, and they push him to the breaking point.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
