Thayer English 12 SCALE period 6 03/28/18 Mirror, Mirror “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” This quote has stood the test of time, and anyone who knows the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves can recognize it. When I think of this line, I always think of the Walt Disney film from 1937. I think of the evil queen staring at her mirror and seeking one answer. The queen wants to hear that she is the fairest of them all. She asks the mirror this question to feed her ego and feed her vain personality. Vanity has always existed, to different extents in different people, but as not faded away. As the years have gone by and times have changed, I see how vanity has evolved and transformed. Many years ago one would look at themselves in a mirror as a sign of vanity, but today, through the advancements made in technology and social media, this simple act has transformed to have a greater impact on society. In today’s society, people look at themselves through a phone screen instead of a mirror. When a person looked at themselves in a mirror only they could see
