Projectile motion is a form of motion in which an object is launched and moves in a parabolic trajectory under the force of only gravity, neglecting air resistance. When we launched the racket ball off the track, it formed a parabolic path in which we split into separate horizontal and vertical components. In the lab, we tested various launch angles and velocities to test the parabolic paths and determine landing spots. To do this, we used a meter stick and the Pythagorean Theorem to set an angle for the ramp. Then, we used a smart gate to monitor the exit velocity.
