Companies that delve into social media marketing must understand how important it is to have the necessary tools, personnel, and tactics if they want to market effectively. Companie such as Nordstrom which need to interact with consumers via social media must be particularly saavy when they create, cultivate, and maintain their influence through social media. When firms put established personnel in the right environment to succeed with strong tools that help companies excel in the social media field and boost their strength of their presence, social media can become an even more powerful marketing outlet. Tools and Tactics Platform Specific Tactics and Tools Increase Nordstrom’s Comments and Customer Service on Twitter. Twitter users have created customer opportunities on the platform because it simplifies the communication process for them. Nordstrom saw that customers wanted to communicate with them and have built their customer service this way. Nordstrom already has set the bar as far as engagement and customer service, but the plan is to take it a step further. This will be the implementation of staff specifically for twitter responses and follow ups. According to Forbes, “Twitter is a revenue winner.
