Nordstrom is a high end department store that offers a variety of different clothing options from high end brands. Nordstrom is currently a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol JWN but founding family members have been making attempts to take the company private in recent years. In recent years even though Nordstrom is a high end retailer, much like other retail stores they have seen a steady decline in business at their stores after four straight years of falling revenue. Nordstrom does however have multiple extensions of its brand with both its private sale site HauteLook and Nordstrom Rack which has posted a 7.6% revenue increase over the last year. Some of Nordstrom’s recent ventures have included partnerships with both J.Crew and Tesla Motors to feature their products in their stores as well as expansion into Canada. Nordstrom’s Social Media Presence Social Media is becoming a stronger driving force in business with each passing year and looks to be where most firms are do the bulk of their advertising now. Nordstrom has shown in recent years that they utilize social media as well as any other firm in the retail industry. Nordstrom has a strong brand presence across man different social media platforms and has in recent years tried to create a stronger omni-channel experience for the shopper. Nordstrom has a strong social media presence on Facebook with 4.9 million likes as well as Twitter where they have 765,000 followers to date. Nordstrom also has a very strong brand presence on Instagram where they have 2.6 million followers and over 3,300 posts. Nordstrom has been able to drive
