Ocean Exploration Lap Report-Cartesian Diver R OHAN N ANA Objective How the properties of deep sea pressure can affect a Cartesian diver. Hypothesis and variables Hypothesis- If I add more pressure to the diver then he or she shall sink. Independent variable- The amount of pressure being applied on the diver. Dependent variable- The depth of the diver as more pressure is being applied. Procedures- First, I put my diver, a ketchup packet with a face on it, in the bottle and measured the depth with no pressure being applied. I then applied a diminutive amount of pressure on the diver and measured the depth after that. After that, I applied furthermore pressure and measured the deepest depth the diver could sink. Data Pressure applied Observation of diver Depth (cm) None (starting position) The diver did not sink and had a high 3 cm

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.
