Running Head: Initial Investment Am always thinking about getting myself a dream car which goes for about $15,000. According to my research the most known and widely used car dealership investment have an average return of 8% per year on long term investment. Am also planning to purchase the car after a period of 12 years. I need to work out and get the value I will invest at the moment for me to have my dream car in 12 years. The desired item is a car. The cost is $15,000 in a period of 12 years. The interest rate amounts to 12%. For this particular problem, I will have to use the Present Value Formula which is as follows; P = A ( 1 + r ) n with P representing the present value. A representing the future value which is amounted by P. n representing the time in years r representing the interest rate which is annually compounded. We know that rules of exponents
