As researchers gain more knowledge about eye witness testimony it has become a controversy weather it should be admissible in court. “Expert Testimony on Eyewitness Evidence: In Search of Common Sense” by Kate A. Houston and “Gender-related differences in eyewitness testimony” by Igor Areh are very interesting articles that question whether eye witness testimony is reliable or not. The article by Kate A Hudson focuses on juries and judges and how their professional vs common sense reaction can potentially affect the outcome of eyewitness testimony. The Author of the article begins with “Surveys on knowledge of eyewitness issues typically indicate that legal professionals and jurors alike can be insensitive to factors that are detrimental to eyewitness accuracy” (Hudson, 2015). The article states the inaccuracies of eyewitness testimony and gives a staggering statistic that out of 301 cases 75% of them were cases of wrongful imprisonment due to false eye witness testimony (Hudson, 2015). The article also dives deep into memory and how it can alter the way the person remembers a certain situation. The
