Connor Kaniewski December 13, 2013 Physics C Block Individual Project Project Proposal- for my project I would like to look at the relationship between a car with something slowing it down and a regular cart while going down the same angled ramp. I would analyze the difference between the acceleration without friction vs. the acceleration with the friction item. Experimental Question: How does friction affect the acceleration of a cart moving down an inclined plane? Independent Variable - incline of the ramp Dependent Variable - acceleration of carts Materials Laptop Ramp Logger Pro Regular Cart Cart with friction Motion Detector Boxes to hold ramp up at angle Meter Stick Procedure 1. Set up ramp 4 cm above surface and place box to hold ramp up 2. Put motion detector at start of ramp and launch logger pro on computer 3. Put regular cart at start of ramp 4. Press green play button on computer and release regular cart 5. Record acceleration 6.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
