Connor Kaniewski Ms. Diorio English 11: American Seeker September 8, 2015 English Experiences and Goal Letter Dear Ms. Diorio, I enjoyed reading your letter and learning about your teaching experience. Familiarizing myself with your teaching style and expectations was informative. My experiences as a reader have allowed me to discover which novels and genres I enjoy reading. Reading for enjoyment is something that I often do not go out of my way to do. I tend to not start my English reading homework until all of my other classes’ assignments are complete. However, I have learned from my middle school (Sacred Heart) and high school English classes that I like reading non-fiction and historical literature. For example, during the summer I enjoyed reading Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer and The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch and Jeffery Zaslow. These books brought me pleasure because I found reading about the deadly season on Everest and a man’s journal after being diagnosed with cancer interesting.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
