I think that there could be many theories to explain how children learn stereotypes and become prejudiced. I feel that in the end they would come down to the way their parent thought and how it is a learned behavior. I also, feel that it would be very set on the environment in which they are raised. I think that racism is a learned behavior. Children are not born to understand and recognize race and gender. This is a “label” that is taught by society. My father for example is a very hard-core democrat. I was taught as early as I could learn that I am a democrat and nothing else. I was taught it was the only was politically. At the same rate, race was not a big topic. I was taught to love all people no matter their gender or race. As I grew I was shocked by terms I would hear and they way others were treated. It affected me as this was not the way I was raised to see people. I think that this is a moment of people
