Our society is diverse and has been described over the years as being a melting pot or a tossed salad. Children and adolescents are continuously faced with the challenge of navigating cultural, racial, and ethnic differences. Explain how a social learning theorist would explain how children learn stereotypes and become prejudiced? Is there anything that parents or other people can do to change this? Greetings, The United States is growing in diversity more and more every year. I am proud to be a communal member who has the privilege to be a part of different cultures. I like the fact that I can look around and see the differences in a variety of lifestyles, beliefs, and traditions. I, for one, am open to learning experiences, inclusion, and working to promote dignity, respect and equality. With that said, I realize that it is not realistic to assume all people hold my thoughts.
