Adly 1 Ruya Adly Professor Bailey DAN 105.35 29 January 2018 Chapter One and Two Notes Chapter 1: Movement encompasses everything we do, think, hear, say, and eat. Movement can take different forms, from obvious to very subtle. Human communication is heavy based on nonverbal behavior. “’Nonverbal communication is usually seen as more believable than verbal messages’” (Moore 6). Dance is an art form which, until the twentieth century, was uncapturable. “When we watch other people in action, we capture ‘not only the movement in space and time, but also what may be called their underlying intentional subtext- what they are aiming at’” (Moore 8). Being aware of other’s movements may be a subliminal survival instinct. “Bodily actions can carry different meanings depending upon culture and context” (Moore 10). Chapter 2

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
