Hello everyone. My name is Jie. Let me ask you a question. Has anyone here considered going to graduate school after graduation from UPEI? (hmm..not a whole lot/ Ok..It’s more than the number I expected) Today I’m going to talk about whether you should go to a graduate school or not. So pursuing any kind of higher education whether it’ll be undergraduate, graduate or post graduate, it’s a big decision. No matter what you are considering, it’s incredibly important to conduct a thorough analysis of your current situation towards your future goals. If you are thinking of applying to graduate school, simply because you are graduating and you don’t really know what else to do with yourself. That’s not a good enough reason to apply! I would suggest that if you are having kind of second doubts or if you do sincerely realize that’s the only reason you wanna apply to graduate school, just take a year off. Take a year, get a job, doing something, get some other life experience, read up on your field, on what’s going on in your field, and don’t rush yourself. Graduate school programs are very specific, so the first thing to do is to make sure what you want out of it. Do you want change career path? Do you want prestige?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
