Directed Study (Week 4) Matthew 11-13; Mark 4-5; Luke 7-8 Principle 1: Matthew 11:6. Don’t be offended by the gospel. I feel that we live in a time where people get offended so easily. And I witnessed on my mission people leaving the church because of something one person said in their ward. The Lord in this scripture says “And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” So we see that the Lord is in a way hinting to us that there will be things of the gospel that may offend us. But I believe that if we have sufficient Faith that we can choose to move passed offensive things and stick to the gospel. Principle 2: Matthew 12:10-13.
