BUS370-03 SPRING2017 Amazon Kindle 1) What criteria drove Amazon’s decision of where to produce the different components that go into the kindle? Were these the right criteria? Should these be the same criteria today, with a stronger focus on the tablet market as opposed to just the e-reader market? - Producing the amazon kindle at the cheapest cost possible was the main criteria of amazon. They could do it by combing the cheapest components of this e-reader tablet whether in the United States or around the globe such as the E-ink from a company based in Massachusetts or Amazon’s lithium battery based in china. - I would say that using the same criteria would work on the tablet market depending on the category of the customer amazon is targeting. The Kindle was a success for Amazon because it was their innovation and no one couldn’t compete with them, but in the tablet market, the competition is very high and very hard.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
