To examine large weather systems and construct weather maps that represent the state of the atmosphere at a given instat in time, these measurements must be simultaneously. Meteorologist call these measurements synoptic, and studies using these measurements synoptic meteorology II. Rawinsondes a. Instrument packages used to make these measurement. A balloon borne instrumentation system that measures pressure, temperature, dewpoint temperature, wind direction, and speed. b.
