Natasha Chido Mutize AUPED 393 - Agility T-Test March 19,2018 Equipment needed . 4 marking cones, stopwatch/ timer, and tape measure to measure the distance between each cone. Purpose of the test The T-Test tests the agility of athletes and it includes forward, lateral, and backward running. The T-test is a useful tool for coaches to assess their players’ ability to change direction at speed. Skills needed to perform The test requires fundamental motor skills. The student is asked to run, shuffle, bend and move backwards. No object manipulation or stationary movements required. Procedures Set out the cones as illustrated in the diagram. Cones A and B should be set 10 yards (9.14 m) apart from each other. Cones B and C (4.57 m) should be 5 yards apart from each other. Cones B and D (4.57 m) should be 5 yards apart from each other as well. 1. Students starts at cone A. 2. On command of the timer, the student will sprint to cone B and touches the base of the cone with right hand.
