Running head: ECONOMICS 1 Supply and demand are very essential concepts that are important to modern day society. There needs to be an equal balance between both the supply, and the demand as well. For example; markets can have plenty of items in stock/supply, but if they do not have the demand/customer interest, then they are of no use. Now, this does not just apply to modern day society, but it also relates to the old times of the bible as well. One of the strongest examples in which we see this, is in a story of the book II Kings. Here, the reader is told a tale, in which Syrians had items stolen from them, but people who did this were not from their camp. Here we see the issues of supply and demand already coming to fruition. In the reading, we see that the people, who stole from the Syrians, had a difficult time rationing the items equally with others. For this reason, the king ordered that how much an individual would get, ended up being based on shekels.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
