Cody Dzurisin MGMT 2301 Dr. Poulos 19 March 2018 Tell the Kids We're Moving to Kenya 1. Eric seems to have an ethnocentric attitude or a home country-oriented attitude. Mr. Pilger has the opportunity to take a new position in Kenya, but this requires his family to move. The idea of moving did not go over well with Eric, which is why I believe he possesses an ethnocentric attitude. He told his family, in exact words, "You'll have to arrest me if you think you're going to take me to Africa." Overall, he was extremely hesitant and did not want to leave America. 2. Kenya would definitely be labeled as a monochronic culture. Kenyan natives tend to view time constraints as relative and flexible. Business tactics in this country have been forgotten in Western cultures because it takes too much time. In the reading, Mr. Midamba includes several tips in his cultural lessons. Among these tips he explains that the Pilgers need not be surprised when people show up to an event extremely early or very late, this is part of the culture.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
