Airam Aburto BUS 137 Mr. Martin 21 January 2018 Chapter 2 Self Test Assessment After calculating my results and reviewing my assessment, my culture preference is adaptability culture and consistency culture. I would be more comfortable and more effective as a new manager in a corporate culture that is compatible with my personal preferences. The adaptability culture, as the book mentions, emerges in an environment that requires fast response and high risk decision making. As a manger one must be able to rapidly detect, interpret, and translate signals from the environment into new behaviors. I personally enjoy that about a job; I get gratification and a sense of empowerment when unexpected things may occur and one needs to step up and adapt to the surroundings. Also, encouraging and rewarding creativity, experimentation, and risk taking can be beneficial to a company. The consistency culture,
