Objectives: In Lab 3 we were introduced to a real-world application of digital circuits, and we also used Karnaugh- Maps for logic minimization. We bread-boarded a circuit that calculated the profits of a small farm. We also fed the output signal into a seven-segment display to better see the values. Design: For Lab 3 I implemented a digital circuit that computed the total profits made by n animal farm. There several guidelines we had to follow in regards on how the farm was set-up. You could only have two different types of animals at one time, each animal had a different profit level, and certain combinations made the profit go up or down to name a few. With the digital circuit we implemented we took the types of animals, “I” for chicken, “S” for sheep, “C” for cow, and “H” for hog, and represented the profit

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
