Session 3 Notes Culturally Accurate Christianity in American Culture-(Teaching about the Bible and Christianity and Christian history, is helping students understand the very culture that they live in.) Because of our multicultural orientation, oftentimes in public schools, it might be helpful to look at around the world and how we might teach about different countries of the world. For a though experiment look at several countries: o Syria-Syria is predominately Muslim (90%), so the question becomes “Would it be reasonable to teach something about Islam in order to understand the culture of that country?” Which without a doubt is “Yes, absolutely, you would want to teach something of Islam in order to understand what happens in Syria” o India- India is predominately Hindu (80%) so it seems reasonable to believe that it would be reasonable to teach about Hinduism to help understand the country.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
