Lab Quizzes and Attendance A pre-lab quiz will be given at the beginning of each lab session. Quizzes are worth 5 points and you will have 5 minutes to complete the quiz You must be ON TIME to take the quiz If you arrive late you will have the remaining time to complete the quiz (ex: you arrive 3 minutes after the quiz has started – you have two minutes to take the quiz) If you arrive after the quiz has been completed and passed forward you will not be allowed to take that day’s quiz If you arrive after the quiz you are still allowed to complete the lab for the day, but you will not receive the 5 points If you arrive to lab without the appropriate attire, you will not be allowed to take the quiz or participate in lab for the day Quizzes will cover information from the previous lab and that day’s lab Check the lab schedule to see what material will be covered on the quizzes 2

Lab Attire Lab coats are provided and must be worn Lab coats are NEVER to be removed from this lab; take lab coat off before leaving lab Gloves should be worn at all times Remove gloves before leaving the lab Goggles must be worn at ALL times Leave goggles in your bins at the end of each day. Long pants (down to ankles, calf length workout pants do not count ) Close-toed shoes are required every day in lab. Long hair should be tied back. Students that are not wearing any of the above mentioned proper lab attire will be asked to leave lab and will not be allowed to take the quiz. 4

Lab Safety Spills: In the event of a spill, do not move or try to clean it on your own. Let a TA and the people around you know immediately!
