COMMUNITY GENERAL HOSPITAL 2018 ASSUMPTIONS AND OBJECTIVES FOR DEPARTMENTS WORKSHEET NURSING Assumptions/Objectives: Establish a new 20 bed in-patient psychiatric/behavioral unit to complement the outpatient behavioral health services (these 20 beds will replace 20 medical surgical beds that will be removed- total number of beds will not change). Educate more Registered Nurses to help meet future nursing needs through a cooperative arrangement with the local community college. Identify healthcare needs within the community and provide to the needs of the people of the community. Provide behavioral health services in the new In Patient Psychiatric unit by December 1, 2017. Improve the efficiency and effectiveness in performing functions within the nursing department to increase patient satisfaction scores by 10%. Conversion and training of all nursing units to operate in a paperless mode thus, improving of information technology capabilities by 2018.
