STRATEGIC THINKING Strategic Thinking In the study, Emory University Hospital in Atlanta was selected for discussion on how strategic thinking can help in leading the organization towards the identification of different opportunities for the hospital to gain a significant competitive edge in the industry. Strategic thinking is among the important factors that help organization and institution leaders to have a vivid picture of the next several years in the life of the particular business unit to make major decisions that allow it to progress and prosper in providing its services (Haycock, 2012 and Kraus, Kauranen & Henning Reschke, 2011). Therefore, the overall function of strategic thinking is to discover new and relatively more successful strategies to be incorporated in delivering high-value health care services to patients while expanding the institution. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
