Matt Cheng English 401 Leanna Lostoski 11/8/2017 I think what the author Bethany Cooper did well was that she made it really clear what her thesis was in her introduction. I also think she did a good job of giving the readers background information on the topic. I also thought that the author did a pretty good job of citing all of her sources. The author Bethany Cooper also makes some really good points in her article to argue her point. For example she says that one of the teachers read something about Black History and a white friend that was listening in could feel the pain and seemed to understand what black people were feeling. I think this is a really good point as it uses emotions and race to convince their audience, making them understand that we actually do need a Black History Month. Another good example is situated towards the conclusion where the author makes an extremely strong statement saying that Black History is also our history. It is the interaction of black and white people for 400 years and is what makes us a nation. I think this was a really strong point as
