1. Identify one strategy King is using, Throughout King’s letter to the clergymen, he utilizes several strategies in order to get his point across. Through his letter, he continuously exploits his audiences emotions. Parts of King’s speech has allowed him to reach out to parents that not only have colored children but children in general. He attacks and questions parent’s integrity and emotions by mentioning how hard it is to explain to their kid why they can’t go into an amusement park just because it isn’t for people of their kind and how hard it is to look at their child’s eyes filled with tears and disappointment. In addition, he also vivid images that no parent wants to see their child experience through the choice of his diction. 2. Paraphrase &/or quote a passage ( using MLA in-text citations ) from his letter showing this strategy in action King’s strategy in motion can be found throughout various parts of his letter.
