Infancy - According to Erikson, this is the stage that plays a crucial role in an infant gaining trust within his or her surroundings by the help of family. With this stage I found with my own child that is helped her understand and get comfortable with her surroundings with family and toys. Toddlerhood – This stage allows the child to develop skills in confidence and gain self- esteem. At this stage my child found everything anything to explore learning to walk, talk and to use the bathroom, when it was acknowledged she would be so happy that she was able to do things on her own. Preschool – This stage described talks about a child being able to build communication skills with others outside of the family, as well as experiencing guilt. This gave her a voice and to be able to make new friends and to play with kids her own age when she was there. Preadolescence – This stage discusses how children react to their overall situation in life regarding friends, sports, and other activities between the ages of six to thirteen. This is the
