1. If I was working in as a team leader and had an employee that lost their father to cancer I would try to learn a little about how their culture handles the grieving process before having a conversation with them. After knowing a little about how the employee grieves I would be more comfortable to speak with them without offending or upsetting them. I would first let them know that I am there for them to talk to if they need to at all and that they can take the bereavement time they need. I wouldn’t want to ask too many questions and become pushy. I would not want to push any of my beliefs on them either since we may have different beliefs. I would also want to let other employees know that this is a sensitive time for this specific
