Mutual fund App Introduction This project was undertaken as part of an academic requirement for the subject – Product Policy and Brand Management as part of the course- Executive Post Graduate Program at IIMK. The study tries to understand the customer requirements for a new product that is being launched in the market. An online customer survey was shared and the findings of the survey analyzed and conclusions derived. The analysis findings will help in product positioning and brand management of the product. Objective Summary As the knowledge about banking products reaches out to more and more customers, the interest in the various banking products is on the rise as well. One such product where there is lot of curiosity among the growing number of ”millennials” is Mutual Funds. The number of Mutual Funds in the market is huge. Investing in the right Mutual Fund can be a challenge for the so-called millennials. The existing process of enrollment and investing in a Mutual Fund has its own drawbacks and hiccups. It is purely an off-line process. For a KYC compliant customer, on boarding will take 2-3 days. In case of a non-compliant customer, it may take up to 5 days. As a result, the organization has to put in a dedicated backend team and it turns out to be a cumbersome process. There are usually 2-3% of the cases which are rejected due to clerical error.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
